The Art of Observing your Garden

Taking time to observe and record the activity in your garden can bring surprising results and a closer connection to the natural rhythms that happen within garden spaces. Plants self-sow, birds migrate, summer shadows change to winter light, first buds open, leaves start to fall and so on, all contributing to what makes your garden unique.
For this weekend course, we will start with inspiration from the visual arts and medieval maps to experiment with a combination of techniques that you can then use to make your own personal story of your garden. Using printmaking, language, instructions, photography, mapping techniques, bookmaking and found objects, we will explore ways you can gather and record activity, atmosphere, seasonal changes and anything in your garden that sparks your imagination.
You'll need to bring:
A shoebox amount of things gathered from your garden - your choice - anything you find interesting.
Photographs of your garden.
There is a materials charge of 45 kr. per person.
Bemærk undervisningen foregår på engelsk!
